ABSTRACT: The role of vocational education in supporting sustainable water management is critical for addressing global water challenges. This study aimed to: (1) investigate the integration of sustainable water management principles into vocational education programs, (2) assess the effectiveness of these programs in preparing students for careers in water management, and (3) identify areas for curriculum enhancement. A survey research design was utilized to gather data from educators, students, and water management professionals. The sample size comprised 130 respondents selected through purposive sampling from Kaduna State. The case study focused on a vocational institute specializing in environmental management. Findings revealed that while basic sustainable practices were incorporated into the curricula, there was a need for more comprehensive training on advanced water management technologies and real-world applications. Recommendations included updating curricula to include the latest sustainable practices, increasing hands-on training opportunities, and fostering partnerships with water management organizations to provide practical experience for students.
